Linktree

The original link-in-bio page, used by 70M+ creators and businesses to point one bio link at everything they publish.

Personal BrandingFree; Starter $8/mo; Pro $15/mo; Premium $35/mo (roughly 20% less billed yearly)

Who it's for

Creators, small businesses and artists who need one link for their bio that fans out to everything they publish or sell.

Standout details

  • The free plan covers unlimited links, QR codes, embedded video and basic click analytics, but keeps Linktree's own branding on the page and takes a 12% fee on anything sold through it
  • Branding removal, advanced analytics (click-through rate, location, device, referrer) and link scheduling only unlock at Pro, $15/mo or $12/mo billed annually
  • Seller fees step down as you pay more: 12% on Free, 9% on Starter and Pro, 0% only on Premium at $35/mo, stacked on top of normal Stripe or PayPal processing charges
  • Pro adds Instagram comment and DM automation, Mailchimp, Klaviyo and Zapier integrations, branded short links with UTM tracking, and Meta and TikTok pixel support
  • Prices jumped hard in November 2025: Starter went from $5 to $8 a month, Pro from $9 to $15, and the old Business tier was replaced by a $35 Premium plan (up from $24), applied to existing subscribers at their next renewal

What it is

Linktree turns one URL into a page of links: your shop, your latest video, your newsletter, every social profile you run. You drop it in an Instagram or TikTok bio once and add or reorder the links behind it whenever you want, without touching the platform post itself. Founded in 2016 by Alex Zaccaria, Anthony Zaccaria and Nick Humphreys, it now runs out of Melbourne with offices in Sydney, San Francisco and Los Angeles, and Linktree states it serves more than 70 million users worldwide.

Four tiers sit on top of that core idea. Free gives you the page itself: unlimited links, QR codes, embedded YouTube, TikTok or Vimeo video, social icons, and basic view and click counts. Starter adds more appearance controls and icons without removing Linktree’s branding. Pro is where the product turns into a marketing tool: branding removal, deeper analytics, scheduling, automation and ad-platform integrations. Premium exists mainly to zero out the seller fee.

Who should use it

Anyone whose bio link needs to do more than sit still: creators pointing followers at merch, a course or a newsletter signup, small businesses running a single storefront link, artists linking tour dates and streaming platforms. If you already sell digital products or courses through the page and the transaction volume is real, the tier you land on changes how much of each sale you keep, which makes this as much a payments decision as a design one.

What stands out

The free tier is not a stripped teaser. Unlimited links, QR codes, video embeds and basic analytics cost nothing, which is why so many casual users never upgrade. The tradeoff is the branding that stays on the page and the 12% cut on any sale, a fee that only drops once you pay for Starter or Pro (9%) or disappears entirely on Premium.

Pro is the tier built for people actually running a page as a business tool. Beyond removing the Linktree logo, it adds click-through rate, location, device and referrer breakdowns, link scheduling, Instagram comment and DM automation, and integrations with Mailchimp, Klaviyo and Zapier, plus Meta and TikTok pixel support for retargeting traffic that clicked through. None of that exists below Pro.

The November 2025 repricing is worth knowing before you commit. Starter, Pro and the renamed Premium tier all rose by 46 to 67 percent, and Linktree applied the new prices to existing subscribers at their next billing cycle rather than grandfathering them in. Capterra reviewers still rate the product 4.5 out of 5 across 108 reviews, with the recurring complaint being limited design freedom and a cluttered mobile admin app rather than reliability.

The verdict

Linktree earns its default status honestly: it works, most audiences already recognize the linktr.ee format, and the free tier is genuinely usable rather than a lead-gen trap. What it is not, anymore, is the cheap option. A 2025 price hike pushed the plan that removes its own branding to $15/mo, and the seller fee on Free and the lower paid tiers means anyone moving real money through the page is paying twice: a subscription and a cut of every sale.

Skip it if your bio link only needs to be a static list of profiles and stores you don’t run yourself. Plenty of free competitors handle that without a branding tax. Keep it if the audience recognition and the Pro-tier automation and analytics are worth paying for, but check the fee math on your actual sales volume against Premium’s flat rate before assuming a cheaper monthly plan is the better deal.

Honest verdict

Linktree is the default for a reason: 70 million-plus people already use it, Capterra reviewers rate it 4.5 out of 5 across 108 reviews, and the free plan alone covers unlimited links, QR codes and basic click analytics. The catch is what free doesn't cover: Linktree's own logo stays on your page and it keeps 12% of anything you sell there until you pay at least $15/mo for Pro. If your bio link is just a static list pointing at social profiles and you sell nothing through it, a free alternative does the same job without the branding tax. If you are already selling through the page, run the fee math against Premium's flat $35/mo before assuming the cheaper tiers are actually cheaper.
